1. What can I expect in the first therapy session?
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other, review your history, and explore what brings you to therapy. We'll talk about your goals, what’s been challenging, and begin to identify a path forward. It’s also a space for you to ask questions and see if the fit feels right.
2. Do you offer in-person or online sessions?
We currently offer both in-person sessions at our office in Edina and secure online therapy for clients located in Minnesota. Bruce Ervin also offers online therapy for clients in California. You’re welcome to choose what works best for your needs and comfort.
3. What types of clients and issues do you specialize in?
We work with adults and teens facing a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. We offer both traditional talk therapy as well as somatic psychotherapy and EMDR.
4. Do you take insurance?

5. What is your fee and do you offer a sliding scale or discounted rate?
Our fee is $175 per session. We also offer a discounted rate in the range of $100 – 175 per session. We ask clients to set the fee at what is affordable on a weekly basis.
6. How often will I meet with my therapist?
You will meet with your therapist once per week through the duration of the active phase of therapy. Your session time will be at the same time and day each week.
7. How how long are sessions?
Standard sessions are 55 – 60 minutes.
