Our commitment is to help you heal and grow. We provide different contexts tailored to serve you best in your journey.
Individual Therapy
For some people, going to a therapist to talk about themselves may initially feel awkward or uncomfortable. However, most clients find individual counseling to be an important step in self-care leading to meaningful progress. Individual counseling provides you the opportunity to discuss and reflect upon your concerns, explore choices and solutions, and make positive changes—all within a safe and confidential one-on-one setting.
Marriage and Couples Therapy
In couples counseling, you and your significant other come together to sessions. This setting provides you a chance to identify points of conflict and misunderstanding, listen to each other in a facilitated way, discern areas for growth, and set goals together. Working through tough issues side-by-side, led by a trained and caring counselor, can lead to a stronger, more satisfying, and enduring relationship.
Family Therapy
Family sessions can involve parents and kids, blended families seeking to co-parent well, or other intergenerational combinations. We work with family members to indentify areas of conflict and anxieties, while equipping all involved with practical skills to work through day-to-day life issues. The process of family therapy can give each family member a deeper understanding of how their family operates, and help members overcome relational tension.
Group Therapy
We understand that some concerns are best worked through alongside others who are going through the same issues. Led by one of our counselors, some therapy groups focus on specific topics, such as building strong marriages, grappling with addiction, or recovering from harmful relationships. We also offer groups that utilize spiritual resources or Scripture to aid healing. Other groups focus more on the interpersonal process between group members as an opportunity for individual growth.
Most groups are limited to 6-8 people. They usually meet weekly for 90 minutes, for a pre-determined length of time.
Trauma Recovery (EMDR)
We specialize in helping clients heal from the wounds of trauma through the psychotherapy approach, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). By assisting the brain’s information processing system, EMDR enables clients to experience meaningful healing and recovery from various types of psychological stress.
Clients often seek EMDR therapy to treat issues of:
- Disturbing memories
- Sexual and/or physical abuse
- Complicated grief
- Panic attacks and stress reduction
- Performance anxiety
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Dissociative and personality disorders
- Body dysmorphic and pain disorders
Spiritual Direction
Spiritual direction is a ministry of listening with the intention of helping to deepen your spiritual life. This approach is less about therapy and goal-setting, and more about helping you listen well to God’s leading in your life.
Clinical Supervision
We also provide supervision for counseling professionals who are looking to gain clinical competence while meeting supervision requirements for state licensure. Candidates can contact us to learn more.
